Well. I have to say. Windows XP is just more reliable.
Windows XP Pros:
-Runs better on less power.
-Better on laptop battery.
-Cheaper.
-More reliable.
-Been around longer, and preferred by most businesses and government officials.
-Compatible with more hardware and software.

Windows XP Cons:

-Not as shiny as Windows Vista.
-Usually if you're going to run Vista you are gonig to have a really powerful computer. (Required.)


Windows Vista Pros:
-It's newer.
-Lots of added security enhancements.
-Parental controls.
-More visual/audio effects.
-UAC makes sure you never make a wrong decision again. (To a point it's really annoying. so is this really a pro?!)
-Recognizes more memory.
-Recognizes more HDD space.

Windows Vista Cons:
-The UAC can get REALLY annoying.
-Slower even on really powerful machines.
-Minimum requirements double that of Windows XP and it's too slow and buggy at those speeds so why bother.
-You have to put a lot of money towards the Os, and along with a lot more money ontop of that for the computer to even run it.
-It crashes a lot.

So I think Windows XP wins this round.
I mean Windows Vista is still new. They've got a lot of time to fix all the bugs and everything. Hopefully they won't just go right from vista to all Windows 7. Then well.. Vista users you are really just out of luck. Unless they keep working on it, i can't really see Vista making it much longer.

VISTA SUCKS. like seriously. i just fixed ANOTHER vista today.

I have Vista Ultimate and i deleted almost ALL services and suckish UAC so nao its FASTER!! Windows 7 is on the way as well...
